The Chhattisgarh government’s flagship scheme Godhan Nyay Yojana, started to procure cow dung from livestock owners and prepare organic fertilizer, will now be implemented on a mission mode. For this, a Godhan Nyay Mission was formed on Sunday.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel released an amount of Rs 50 lakhs for the smooth operation of Godhan Nyay Mission.

The Special Secretary of the Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Department and Managing Director of Godhan Nyay Mission, Dr. S. Bharathi Dasan, said: “Godhan Nyay Mission has been formed with an objective of proper implementation of the scheme from a commercial and scientific point of view to ensure the beneficial use of cow dung besides assuring that the dung collectors get the maximum benefit.”

He added that Agriculture, , Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Urban Administration, Panchayat and Rural Development, State Rural Livelihood Mission and Khadi and Village Industries Departments will participate in operating this mission.

The Services of scientists, organizations having management and Marketing expertise, NGOs and consultants of companies will be taken to implement Godhan Nyay Yojana on a mission mode.

As a part of Godhan Nyay Mission, an action plan will be prepared and implemented for the sale of vermicompost and other organic Fertilizers and to transform the Gauthans into Rural Industrial Parks.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday announced that an Hindi Medium School of excellence will be opened in each district on the lines of Swami Atmanand Government English Medium School.

He said that schools in the state named after great personalities will be upgraded into multipurpose schools. He also announced Rs 2 crores for development of Sports grounds at the R.D. Tiwari School.

He made the announcement on the occasion of Teachers Day, after the inauguration of Swami Atmanand R.D. Tiwari Government English Medium School at Amapara in Raipur.

He also felicitated the 20 outstanding teachers for their innovative ways to keep the children engaged with Education during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He presented a Scholarship cheque to children who lost their parents during the pandemic, an official Communication said.

Under the “Mukhyamantri Vriksh Sampada Yojana” in Chhattisgarh, 15 crore trees will be planted over 1.80 lakh acres in the next five years.

An official communiqu quoted Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief of Forest Force Sanjay Shukla as saying on Thursday that more than 16,000 beneficiaries had been registered by the Forest Department for tree plantation.

The scheme has been launched to increase the income of farmers with commercial tree plantation in their lands with their Consent, it said.

Under the scheme, farmers, willing land owners, government, semi-government and autonomous institutions of the government, private educational institutions, private trusts, Panchayats and land contract holders can benefit.

Full financial assistance will be granted under the scheme for up to five acres of tree plantation whereas 50 percent financial assistance will be granted for more than 5 acres of plantation.

For the purchase of marked species of trees, the minimum sale price has been decided. In five years, after the planted trees are mature, they might be worth Rs. 10,000 crores, the communiqu said. This year, 12 species of trees will be planted on 30,000 acres. These species include clonal eucalyptus, root shoot teak, Tissue Culture, sandalwood, Amla, Sheesham and Mahaneem.

Efforts on to step up use of IT in Chhattisgarh courts

ChhattisgarhChief Justice Arup Kumar Goswami, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other senior officials had a meeting to discuss various issues, including promoting effective use of Information technology (IT) in courts in the state.

Various topics related to the high court and the Courts of Chhattisgarh including more effective use of e-courts, progress of e-courts and e-challan system, attendance of doctors in court through video conferencing were discussed in the meeting.

In the Courts of Chhattisgarh, information technology is being used to make the judicial process convenient and transparent for the citizens and to make the citizens available online information quickly.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday pledged to promote Makhana (also known as fox nut and lotus seed) for Rabi season. He assured every possible technical assistance for the cultivation.

Baghel said this while virtually inaugurating a processing unit of Makhana of Gajendra Chandrakar in Lingadih in Arang block of Raipur district.

In the view of its increasing demand in the market, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to promote Makhana production for the Rabi crop along with the production pulses and oilseed,” he said.

The state has taken initiatives to provide information and training in this regard to the farmers. In addition, every possible help will be provided to farmers from the availability of fox nut seeds to its sale.

Regarding promotion of production of pulses and oilseeds, Baghel said: I had given instructions to the officials to make arrangements in Gauthans for oil extraction in areas where farmers are growing oilseed crops besides making arrangements for grading and packaging of pulses in areas where farmers are planting pulse crops.

“This would provide regular EMPLOYMENT and Source Of Income to the Women self-help groups working in Gauthans, he said.

Chhattisgarh chief ministerBhupesh Baghel announced an additional feature to MukhyamantriMitaanYojana which would facilitate issuing ofAadhaarcards at the doorstep of Home for children below or if five years of age. Speaking at the opening ceremony of National Tribal Dance Festival and states 23rd foundation day celebrations here, he said, Now onwards, the mitaan would make Aadhaar cards for the children at their homes and issue it. Citizens can call on toll free number 14545 and book an appointment.

Mukhyamantri Mitaan yojana was initially started at 14 municipal corporations and later was expanded to all municipal councils. Under the scheme, the birth-death certificates, marriage/ caste certificates etc are delivered at the doorstep of home.

The Hasdeo Bango Hydroelectric Power Station of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Co has set a record by producing 90.10 million units of electricity in October. It is the highest production in one month.

The power generation in October stood at 100.92 percent Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF). During this period, 100 percent Plant Availability Factor (PAF) with zero tripping was achieved.

Earlier, a record of 87.743 million units of electricity generation was set by the Bango Hydel Plant in August 2020. The CUF was 98.278 percent.

The company’s Bango Hydroelectric Plant has a total generation capacity of 120 MW. Three units of 40-40 MW each are functional.

Among small towns, Chhattisgarhs Patan (Durg district) was ranked first in the East Zone and second in the country in the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2022.

Ambikapur maintained its standing among clean cities. Chhattisgarh stood second in the category of Best Performing State.

Among the cities with a Population of more than one lakh, Ambikapur stood at number one in the state and Korba at number two. Raipur secured the second place among cities with a population more than 10 lakh.

Balodabazar was rewarded with Citizen Feedback Award in the category of population of 25-50,000 in East Zone. Along with this, eight cities of Chhattisgarh won the Indian Cleanliness League (ISL) in the cleanliness survey.

The 7th edition of Swachh Survekshan was conducted to study the progress of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and ranked based on various cleanliness and sanitation parameters.

Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday launched a mobileappandportalfor the count of OBC and economically weaker sections of society. Baghel began the survey by registering his information on the app of Chhattisgarhquantifiable data commission.

The Quantifiable Data Commission was constituted when some people challenged this decision in court and its implementation was stayed, said the CM. The court had ordered the state to submit quantifiable data.

As many as 5,549 supervisors have been appointed for the survey in the state, 4,446 (80%) of them in gram panchayat areas.

Chhattisgarh has registered 33 percent rise in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in July 2021 as compared to corresponding period of the last year.

The total GST collection in July was Rs 2,432 crores while the figure was Rs 1,832 crore in July 2020. The collection is more than 32 percent increase in the total GST collection at the national level. As per the data released by the Central Government, compared to Chhattisgarh, the GST collection in Madhya Pradesh was 16 percent. The GST collection in Punjab (29%), Andhra Pradesh (28%), Kerala (27%), Bihar (21%), Uttar Pradesh (18%), West Bengal (15%), Uttarakhand, Karnataka and Rajasthan (12%).

Despite global Covid-19 pandemic and followed by stricter lockdown and other challenging situations, the pace of economic activities in the state sustained under the Leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Additionally, the value addition of forest produce and livelihood activities was undertaken.

Apart from this, under the Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Scheme, continuous employment was provided in rural areas. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, the procurement of cow-dung by a large number of farmers, Livestock owners and members of Self-Help Groups were benefitted.
