Women Entrepreneurship Policy 202328 unveiled

To promote among Women, Chhattisgarh has unveiled a State Women Entrepreneurship Policy 202328. It provides financial assistance (loan) to women to establish industries.

Loans can be given up to Rs 50 lakhs to set up manufacturing enterprises, up to Rs 25 lakhs for service enterprise projects and up to Rs 10 lakhs for business venture projects, an official Communication said on Tuesday.

The policy will also provide economic Investment incentives to new micro, small and medium manufacturing and service enterprises established by women.

Fixed capital investment grants up to 3055 per cent of the fixed capital investment made in enterprises, 45-70 per cent on the term loan obtained for enterprises, WORKING CAPITAL provisioned in the project report (equal to the requirement of a maximum of three months) and the maximum interest subsidy ranging from Rs. 1560 lakhs will be provided, it is said. Margin Money grant of 50 per cent, up to a maximum of Rs 75 lakhs, Net State Goods and Services Tax (Net SGST) reimbursement for 616 years from the date of commencement of commercial production, while electricity and stamp duty as well as transport grant for establishing new enterprises will be exempted from the market fee.

Women’s self-help groups will get an additional grant of 5 per cent as economic investment incentive.

Administration Towards Villages kick-starts

Implement Narva Vikas in non-forest, forest areas: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel called for implementing the flagship scheme Narva Vikas for ground water conservation on priority in non-forest areas and forest areas.

The construction work will provide EMPLOYMENT to forest-dwellers, tribes and villagers living around the forest area, he said.

Baghel was presiding over the second meeting of the state advisory council for Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) here, an official Communication said.

CG govt procures 37000 tonnes of paddy so far

TheChhattisgarhgovernment has procured more than 37,000 tonnes of paddy under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme so far from more than 2 lakh farmers.

As per the government press release, 7,36,475 tonnes of paddy has been procured from about 2,25,815 farmers so far in the current paddy procurement season from November one. In lieu of this, Rs 1566.61 crore has been paid to the farmers under the bank linking system.

The has estimated procurement of 110 lakh tonnes of paddy this year. To sell paddy on support price, 25.92 lakh farmers have been registered in the state, out of which about 2.18 lakh are new farmers. 2538 procurement centres have been set up in the state for paddy procurement.

This year, normal paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 2040 per quintal and grade-A paddy at Rs 2060 per quintal.

In a bid to boost rural economy, modern showrooms of C-Mart are to be opened in Chhattisgarh’s cities to market products manufactured in the state’s villages.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wants products made by self-help groups, weavers, artisans and Cottage industries to be on sale at these showrooms.

Officials have been told to set up C-Mart like a modern showroom, with all the amenities to attract customers.

In the first phase, the showrooms will come up on 8-10,000 square feet in case of municipal corporations and on 6-8,000 square feet in the case of municipalities in all district headquarters.

Baghel has directed District Collectors to coordinate with the Managing Director of the Minor Forest Produce Association to make arrangements to process, pack, brand and market the products.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday said the possibilities of producing electricity from cow dung should be studied.

He said Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to procure cow dung and convert it into a profit.

He was virtually addressing the event of online transfer of the against procurement of cow dung from cattle owners and farmers and its dividend to Women self-help groups and gauthan committees.

A total of Rs 5.33 crores was transferred on Wednesday. Since the launch of the scheme, Rs 100.82 crores have been paid to the beneficiaries, an official Communication said.The Chief Minister called for collectors to constantly review the need for maintenance, repair and construction works of Gauthans.He said apart from vermicompost, at a few centres gobar gas (bio-gas) is being produced and supplied to houses. Therefore, it will be a major achievement if studies show that power can be produced from cow dung.

The Raigarh forest division has done exemplary work by sowing two lakh seed balls and 1,200 kgs of seeds of fruit bearing trees on a single day.

Raigarh Divisional Forest Officer Dr Pranay Mishra said on Monday that the contribution of local public representatives and forest management committee helped sow double the given target of 1 lakh seed balls.

He said ber (Jujube), jamun (Jambul), Bel (wood apple), sitaphal (custard apple), karaunda (gooseberry) and munga (drumsticks) were planted or sprayed or sown through seed balls.

State denies roof to poor: Giriraj
