Cgarh facing fertilizers crisis in Rabi season

Chhattisgarh is not receiving even its allotted quantity of chemical Fertilizers as per the quota approved by the Central government for this Rabi season.

A statement issued by the said Chhattisgah has got only 171,476 tonnes (74 percent) of chemical fertilizers against a demand for 232,000 tonnes for this Rabi season till January 2022.

Chhattisgarh had been informed that 1.20 lakh tonnes of chemical fertilizers would be supplied by the Central government in February. But half the month has already passed and the state has got only 40,686 tonnes, which is 34 per cent, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Centre has approved 4.11 lakh tonnes of chemical fertilizers to Chhattisgarh for this Rabi season.

This includes 2 lakh tonnes of urea, 60,000 tonnes of DAP, 50,000 tonnes of NPK, 26,000 tonnes of MOP and 26,000 tonnes of SSP, it added.

Promote horticulture crops in Chhattisgarh: Minister

Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey on Monday said the Chhattisgarh Shakambhari Board has been constituted to encourage farmers involved in vegetable cultivation.

crops should also be promoted in the state to get the benefit of government schemes, he said.

Choubey was addressing the inauguration of the new office of the Board at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Campus at Labhandi (Jora).

Board Chairman Ramkumar Patel and members Dukhvaram Patel, Anurag Patel, Hari Patel and Pawan Patel were present.

The Minister said: Chherchera Shakambhari Jayanti has a special importance in local life in the state. It is a festival of giving, charity and social harmony. It eliminates the difference between big and small.

“Maa Shakambhari is adorned with vegetables and worshiped. It is the reason that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has declared a holiday on this occasion.”

Malaria-free Cgarh campaign: API 0.92

The last six phases of the malaria-free Chhattisgarh campaign have yielded good results.

The Annual Parasite Index (API) of Chhattisgarh, which was 2.63 in 2018, has fallen to 0.92 in 2022, said the Director of Epidemic Control, Dr. Subhash Mishra.

The Health and Family Welfare Department organized the seventh phase of the malaria-free campaign and detected 7,930 people positive out of 9,30,820 screened in four districts, he said.

Mishra said in the seventh phase, 1,959 survey teams checked 1,83,796 houses in Bijapur, Dantewada, Narayanpur and Sukma districts.

Cgarh to expand Good Governance Initiative

The Chhattisgarh government is expanding the https://exam.pscnotes.com/good-Governance“>Good Governance Initiative Model Gram Panchayat programme to all gram panchayats in the state.

According to the Union Ministry of Rural Development, in the first phase for 2019-20 the model was implemented in 81 panchayats in the state. In 2020-21, 84 panchayats were covered. The remaining will be covered in 2021-22.

As part of it, village EMPLOYMENT assistants and panchayat secretaries in all the panchayats will be trained for better maintenance and management of MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) job cards, seven types of registers, work files and citizen information boards.

State MGNREGA Commissioner Mohammed Kaiser Abdul Haq has asked for time-bound implementation of the phase wise activities.

The implementation of the Good Governance Initiative Model Gram Panchayat programme will be completed in six phases. The sixth phase will review the progress made in all five phases.

Monsoon session of Cgarh Assembly to begin July 18

The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly will begin on July 18 and end on July 21.

A notification from the assembly stated that the session would undertake some financial issues apart from government works.

The short session will have four sittings.

It will be the last session ahead of assembly polls in November.

The session is expected to be a stormy one as the opposition will try to make every possible effort to grill the Congress government on various issues.

Schemes aim to bring positive changes: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday said the main objective of the government is to bring positive changes in the lives of all sections.

He was addressing the public at an interaction in village Kathia (Ranka) in the Bemetara assemblyconstituency.

Baghel said the aim of the government is to increase the income of the common man. Schemes are being made by keeping this objective in mind.

All the schemes of the are bringing prosperity in the homes of the poor. Common people are deriving benefits under different Nyay schemes.

He listed out the various schemes implemented by the government.

He pledged that village Panchayat Kusmi will be made a Nagar Panchayat, a community hall will be built, a higher secondary school will come up in village Ranka-Kathia and a Swami Atmanand English medium school will open in Kusmi and Ranka Kathia.

CM launches ‘Gauthan Map’ mobile app

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the ‘Gauthan Map’ (Gauthan Multi Activity and Livelihood Management) mobile app here.

The app has been developed by CHIPs for Gauthan Management. All details of cow dung procurement, gauthans along with information about activities of self-help groups and will be made available in the app.

This in-house app developed by Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) will have a Database of all the gauthans in the state. This will include details of Resources, activities, beneficiaries and Services available in the gauthans.

Digital mapping of Gauthans will be done through geo-tagging. A database of various activities conducted by self-help groups will be prepared for each Gauthan. This framework will enable accurate monitoring of key indices of Gauthans.

On this app, a Gauthan-centric database will be available for a robust digital evaluation mechanism for both Gauthan committees and self-help groups for the State Government.

The database will help in planning future activities in Gauthans. Through monitoring the trend and performance of income generating activities in Gauthan, new sources of livelihood will be identified.

Farmers to get zero interest loan for lac cultivation

The Chhattisgarh government will encourage farmers to go for lac cultivation and provide them lac crop loan with zero interest through the District Cooperative Bank.

A loan limit of Rs 5,000 has been fixed for rearing lac on Kusum tree, Rs 900 for Ber (Indian Jujube) and Rs 500 for Palash (Tesu) tree, an official Communication said on Saturday.

The Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce (Trading and Development) Cooperative Federation has taken the initiative to increase lac production.

Chhattisgarh is one of the highest producers of lac in the country. It produces 4,000 tonnes of lac at an estimated value of Rs 100 crore.

The production target is 10,000 tonnes, which will generate an income of Rs 250 crore to the farmers.

The rates for procurement of Bihan lac (seeding lac insects) have been fixed. The farmers can procure Kusumi Bihan lac (obtained from Ber tree) at Rs 550 per kg and Rangini Bihan lac (obtained from Palash tree) at Rs 275 per kg.

Lac production clusters have been formed with three to five primary committee areas in 20 districts.

Lac production occurs twice a year — in summer and winter.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will receive the award for leading the cleanest State of India from President Ram Nath Kovind at the Swachh Amrit Mahotsav in New Delhi on November 20.

Chhattisgarh has been given the award for maintaining its status as the cleanest State. Apart from the State, its 61 urban bodies will also be rewarded for their excellent performance, the highest number of urban bodies in any state.

Chhattisgarh was also a leading state in terms of cleanliness in 2019 and 2020.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs conducts the annual cleanliness survey in all cities and states.

The survey is based on citizens feedback on door-to-door garbage collection, scientific disposal of waste, open defecation free city and garbage free city.

The survey is done through third party assessment. On the basis of assessment, the ranking of states and cities are done. The best performing states and cities are rewarded.

Chhattisgarh is the only state where, more than 9,000 cleanliness ‘didis’ are collecting 1,600 tonnes of wet and dry waste from houses and scientifically disposing them off.

It has also been declared the first ODF plus state of the country.

Chhattisgarh Chief MinisterBhupesh Baghel said abadmintonacademy would be set up in Raipur.

He made the announcement while chairing a meeting of representatives of Sports associations here, an official said.

The CM saidChhattisgarh Sports Development Authorityhad been set up to improve sports facilities and provide a platform to budding talents.

He asked firms to operate sports academies with CSR funds, adding that industries functioning in the state would be entrusted with the responsibility of stadium maintenance, appointment of coaches of national and international level, and arrangement of diet and accommodation for players.
