After implementing the Mukhya Mantri Bayu Swasthya Seva (MMBSS), the State Government has now initiated steps to roll out an air ambulance service across the State.

The Government had launched the MMBSS in September 2021 to provide modern healthcare facilities by super specialty doctors to patients of remote areas of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri districts.

Now, the Government is to extend the privilege throughout the State with deployment of a dedicated Helicopter in Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in order to provide a speedy medical outreach to needy citizens, sources said.

It can cohesively augment the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system in the regions where challenging topography and road terrain prevent road ambulances from rendering timely medical aid.

By utilising the versatility of helicopters which are suitably equipped for EMS role, the HEMS can increase the accessibility and timeliness of trauma care services to a wider Population base.

The chopper will be stationed at one of the major medical colleges like Aiims, Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College, Cuttack, Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science & Research, Sambalpur, and MKCG Medical College, Brahmapur.

The helicopter will be equipped with ventilator, monitor defibrillator, fibre optic laryngoscope with all types of blades, syringe pump, portable Oxygen bottle, advanced life support crash kit, stretcher, neonatal transport incubator, hand held blood gas analyser, etc.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday gave directions to the Agriculture Minister and officials to ensure continuous supply of fertilizers to farmers, especially urea and Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP).

He told Minister Ravindra Choubey, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain and Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Commissioner Dr M Geetha to parley with representatives of fertilizer supplier companies to ensure supply based on allocation of states, an official statement stated.

The Chief Minister also called forr regular inspection of wholesalers and retailers for Fertilizers to detect hoarding.

Chhattisgarh has been allocated 565,595 tonnes of chemical fertilizers from April to June. Against this, 362,966 tonnes have been received. Due to the early sowing season, the demand for fertilizers has risen in the state.

NACHA develops Chhattiskosh app

To promote Chhattisgarhi dialect and culture, the North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) has developed the Chhattiskosh app in which Chhattisgarhi words can be translated into English and vice-versa.

In the first phase of the app, 25,000 English words will be available for translation, NACHA President Ganesh Kar said.

The facility to translate an essay in English or Chhattisgarhi into English or Chhattisgarhi simultaneously will be developed in the second phase which will possibly begin in 2024-25, he said.

The association has taken the help of professors and students of Pt Ravishankar Shukla University for the selection of words, he said.The app will have the facility to read the original works of Chhattisgarhi writers besides tutorial Videos of Chhattisgarhi language will also be included in the app, Kar added.

Chhattisgarh’s legal body provides ‘Rahat’ to 308 women victims

ChhattisgarhState Legal Services Authority (CGSLSA) has provided relief to victims in over 308 cases ofcrimeagainst Women as a part of its campaign Rahat in the last two months.

Under this, all the District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) of Chhattisgarh state are constantly making efforts to dispose of cases as a part of this campaign to provide immediate relief and compensation to the women victims of various criminal incidents and the amount of compensation is being provided to them.

In a notable success, in the month of January and February, action has been taken on a total of 308 applications including 106 in January and 202 in February, received by DLSAs across the state. An award of Rs 3.20 crore has been passed in the same. Maximum 47 cases were disposed of by District Legal Services Authority Bastar.

Cgarh Assly budget session from March 1

The budget session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly will commence on March 1. A notification was issued by the Assembly Secretariat.

The session, to run till March 24, will have 14 sittings. This would be the 16th session of the fifth state assembly.

The session will see the Governors address, financial works and some other government works.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the annual budget.

Aspirational, high-burden districts to get fortified rice

In a bid to eradicate Malnutrition and anemia in aspirational and high-burden districts, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to distribute fortified rice from March.

A statement from the Food Department said the government will distribute fortified rice to the ration card holder beneficiaries in 10 aspirational and two high-burden districts under the .

The entire expenditure will be borne by the State Government.

Annual allocation of rice to ration cards under the state scheme via PDS will be about 3.89 tonnes.

Nearly Rs 28.43 crores will be spent on the fortification of this rice and Rs 11.16 crores will be spent on distribution to the beneficiaries of National Food Security Act. In this way, an amount of Rs 39.59 crores will be spent.

The 10 aspirational districts are Korba, Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, Kanker, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, Bastar, Kondagaon and Sukma.

The two high-burden districts are Kabeerdham and Raigarh.

New species of bird observed in Cgarh

A new species of bird, Fire-Capped Tit, has been observed in Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh. This was confirmed by www.ebird.org

The male birds face has a slight red colour instead of a fiery red color, which makes it unique. The red part is absent on the female birds face. But both are distinctive in terms of size.

The beak is short and sharp while its plumage is Light yellow, an official Communication said.

Both male and female birds have yellow upper-parts and lighter brown undersides, although the males upperparts are predominantly paler than the female’s.

They have been found in broadleaf forest, at medium and higher altitudes. The birds generally live in their flock but sometimes can be seen with other species of birds.

Govt starts doorstep delivery of cooked food

Balod in Chhattisgarh has undertaken aninnovative initiative to provide hot cooked meals through ‘Home tiffin service’ to Women who are unable to visit Anganwadis for food.

The initiative has been taken under the government’s ambitious ‘Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana’ launched three years ago.

The move aims to ensure that pregnant and lactating mothers get nutritious food.

The scheme was earlier launched on October 2, 2019 to provide healthy and nutritious meals to malnourished children less than six years old and to anemic women and adolescent girls between 15 and 49 years of age.

Since its inception, 2.10 lakh children and around 1 lakh women have been made anemia-free.

A nutritious diet is extremely important for pregnant and lactating mothers. Lack of nutritious food causes anemia and Malnutrition in mothers and children.
