BJP’s face in the south, two-time MP from Coimbatore,C P Radhakrishnantook oath as the 11thgovernorof Jharkhand. Acting chief ,Jharkhandhigh court, justice Aparesh Kumar Singh administered him oath of office at a ceremony organised at the Birsa Mandap ofRaj Bhavan.
Having actively participated in the Jaiprakash Narayan’s ‘total revolution’ in the 1970s he has been a member of the Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since he was a teenager. Radhakrishnan joined the Jan Sangha in 1973 and later entered electoral politics.
He was elected to the lower house twice – in 1998 and 1999 representing Coimbatore.
