After successfully running the Sports science centre atTatya Tope Stadium, the sports department has decided to open a new sports science centre with all modern and world-class facilities. The centre will be developed at the new sports complex for which the cabinet has allotted a 50- acre land inNathu Berkheda.
Sports ministerYashodhara Raje Scindiawanted to have a sports science centre with better facilities. Scindia said, “These games need intense focus. Several times, players, despite being talented, fail to hit the target owing to various reasons. After witnessing similar situations in other games, I felt that we should have a bigger sports science centre. The new centre will have all the facilities that one can think of.
Sources said the centre will have a high equipped lab with modern equipment like Bertec instrumented treadmill, activio real-time heart monitoring, 3D analysis, high performance gym and such others.
