Average rainfall 9% less this year in Rajasthan as compared to 2020

Even after the completion of almost six phases of the south west monsoon, almost 13 districts in the state are parched with deficit rainfall. Also, the Average rainfall of the state is still 8.8% less compared to what it was received till September 2, 2020. Jaipur Met office stated that till September 15 south west monsoon will bring widespread rainfall activity.

The figures of the monsoon on average rainfall in various parts of the state suggested that 13 districts in the state are still in the category of the deficit rainfall. District collectors in the affected districts have also been told to make a contingency plan for the drought or drought like situation.

Sriganganagar district has received a rainfall of 74 mm so far in this season which is very low while Baran received rainfall of 1074.90 mm which is highest in the state.
