AP 16th state to fix smart meters

Energy secretary K Vijayanand said Andhra Pradesh is 16th state in country to install smart meters for the consumers. Addressing the media here on Monday, Vijayanand said 27 lakh smart meters will be installed across the state in the first phase. The first phase of smart meter installation will be completed by the end of 2023, he said. The Centre is paying 5,484 crore to discoms to set up new feeders to save energy
