Andhra University first university to get call to train Agniveers

Andhra Universityhas received a proposal to be associated with the IndianNavyto offer academic training toAgniveers. This is the first time for any Indian university to receive such a proposal related to Agniveers. For the uninitiated, the approved the Agnipath scheme in 2022, which allows the selected youth to serve in the Armed Forces for a period of four years.

per the initial proposals, faculty from Andhra University will visit the Navy establishments to offer courses/training sessions to the in-service Agniveers in domain areas such as Disaster Management, fire safety, Waste Management, arboriculture, etc.
