Chief ministerY S Jagan Mohan Reddyon Tuesday credited 1820.23 crore under YSRfree crop insuranceschemeinto the bank accounts of 15.15lakh farmerswho lost their crop during last years kharif season.
The chief minister said the government had taken the responsibility to supportfarmersin their hard times and has kept its promise. He further said that they have revamped the scheme by paying the entire Insurance premium, thereby ensuring that all farmers enrolled in e-crop platform get their share of insurance directly with no middlemen involved.
