Union Home minister Amit Shah, who is also chairman of the council, will preside over the meeting.

Chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is the vice-chairman, is scheduled to make a presentation on the issues concerning the state and the region at the conference.

Besides Shah and Jagan, the chief ministers, lieutenant governors, and administrators of Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are scheduled to attend the conference.
