Historical sculptures ofKakatiya regimewere found in neglected state at Kolakaluru village of Tenali mandal in Guntur district ofAndhra Pradesh.
After a thorough inspection of the sculptures, the four inscriptions dated 1240, 1241, 1242 and 1318 CE engraved on pillars of the Agasthyeswara temple and the southern wall of the Kesava temple which record the donation of land for the dancers and upkeep of both the temples.
The historical temples and temple parts in shambles besides deliberate coating of chemical colors on the historical structures and dwarapala sculptures without knowing the historical significance of such structures.
