Andhra Pradesh govt to spend Rs 1,042 crore on supplying school kits

The AP school Education department has prepared a plan to the tune of Rs 1,042 crore to supply the students with books, uniform sets, shoes, bags, etc. known as Jagananna VidyaKanukakits – for the next academic year, 2023-24.

These kits will be distributed to about 43 lakh pupils enrolled in various government schools spread across the state. About 5 crore textbooks and workbooks will be published, including the proposed 5% buffer stock, for these children.

Bilingual textbooks will be prepared for the students of classes I to IX, including English and , Urdu, Kannada, Odia, orTamil. The unique feature is that the lessons are published in both English and the mother tongue of the students in the same non-language textbooks.
