The chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh andOdishahave agreed in principle to work together and resolve the inter-state disputes. AP chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Odisha chief ministerNaveen Patnaikmet in Bhubaneswar.
The chief ministers have decided that chief secretaries of both states will set up an institutional mechanism to deliberate on outstanding issues. The two chief secretaries with their teams would work and find a solution that is in the best interest of the people of the two states.
The issues included Kotia group of villages,Neradi Barrage, Jhanjhavati reservoir, Polavaram project and release of water for Bahuda river.
