Andhra Pradesh CM extends financial assistance for treatment of ailing children

Moved by the plight of the families of sick and needy,Andhra Pradeshchief ministerYS Jagan Mohan Reddyhas extendedfinancial assistanceto them on the spot during his visit to Tiruvur on Sunday.
The Andhra Pradesh CM also directed the district collectorS Dilli Raoto take immediate measures to provide healthcare support to the ailing children.

He walked up to the gallery after seeing a couple carrying a 13-year old boy and enquired about their need. The couple M Srinu andVenkataravammaof Kommireddi Palli village explained that their 13-year-old son M Ranjit was suffering from blood cancer and sought financial assistance from the chief minister. Without waiting for further information, the chief minister granted them Rs.1 lakh financial assistance from CMRF. He assured the couple of providing all necessary medical support for Ranjit. He directed the district collector to take care of the medical needs of Ranjith.
Similarly, G Suresh and Gayatri, villagers of Sher Mohammadpeta in Jaggayyapeta mandal sought support for the treatment of their daughters Veda Sri Durga (12) and Lasya Priya (8) suffering from congenital myasthenic syndrome. They informed the chief minister that around Rs 30,000-40,000 was being spent per a month for their treatment and sought financial support for better treatment.
