The higher educational institutions ofAndhra Pradeshput up a poor show inthe nationalinstitutional ranking framework-2023 (NIRF-2023), the results of which were released.
Andhra University was the only institute to find a place in the list of top-100 institutions of the country, apart from Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University. However,AndhraUniversity has been consistently slipping in its ranking in the overall category for the last several years from 29th place in 2019 to 36th place in 2020 to 48th place in 2021 to 71st position in 2022 to 76th position in 2023.
Even in the universities category, the ranking of Andhra University has slid to 43 (from 16 in 2019 to 19 in 2020 to 24 in 2021 to 36 in 2022).SriVenkateswara University (92nd rank) was in the top-100 institutions list in 2021. But the institute could not achieve the feat in the last two years.
