All Collectors in Chhattisgarh have been told to identify one Hindi medium school and submit proposals for upgrading it as a school of excellence.

A Communication to this effect has been sent out by the Principal Secretary (Education), Dr Alok Shukla, an official statement said on Monday.

This follows Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s announcement regarding upgradation of one Hindi medium school in each district.

The District Collectors were told that the outer appearance of heritage schools must not be changed and modification should be done only for advanced labs and libraries.
