Statecabinetheaded by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan decided to increase the honorarium of district and janpad panchayat presidents and vice-presidents. Now the district panchayat presidents will get an honorarium of Rs 1 lakh per month.
Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, Home minister Narottam Mishra said, Honorarium and vehicle allowance of the district panchayat president has been increased to Rs 1 lakh monthly while honorarium for the district panchayat vice-presidents has been increased to Rs 42,000 monthly.
It was also approved to increase the
honorarium of janpad panchayat president to Rs 19,500 monthly and that of janpad panchayat vice-president to Rs 13,500 per month. Along with this, the maximum annual honorarium of panch and up-sarpanch will be Rs 1,800 monthly. Approval was also given to the Madhya Pradesh Capacity Building Policy-2023 for thecapacity buildingof government employees and officials.A release said that this policy has been prepared by incorporating the concept and characteristics of Mission Karmayogi implemented by the Government of India. For this, a new budget head Mission Karmayogi will be created with 1% of the budget available in the salary head of each department. Along with this, a new budget for Mission Karmayogi will be made in the Academy of Administration of Rs 10 crore.
