Chouhan was reviewing the works of Panchayat and Rural Development Department in Mantralaya today. He also inaugurated a ‘Mobile App’ prepared by the department for garbage collection and transportation from village to village.
Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelawan Patel, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, CEO Madhya Pradesh Day State Livelihood Mission LM. Belwal and concerned officers were present.
Chouhan said that 127 “Didi Cafes” are being run by self-help groups in the state. These are functioning successfully as refreshment centres. In the coming time, “Didi Cafes” will be opened at places like Vallabh Bhawan, Vindhyachal, Satpura etc.
The Chief Minister said that excellent work is being done in the field of plastic waste disposal in the state. Arrangements have been made to collect plastic waste from village to village, from where the plastic will reach the waste collection centers and from there it will be sold. 28 plastic collection centers are being opened in the state, which will be operated by Women of self-help groups. Waste plastic is being used in the construction of about 9,000 kilometers of roads in the state.
