UP govt to take help of religious leaders to spread awareness against dumping bodies

TheUttar Pradesh governmentwill now take the help ofreligious leadersto createawarenessamong people not to dump bodies in the rivers, an official said on Monday, amid mounting criticism over such incidents.

A large number of dead bodies have been found flowing in the rivers in many districts of the state. There have also been reports of bodies being found buried on the banks of the Ganga.

Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) has stepped up its fight against ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, besides ensuring increased quantity of coal to power plants in various parts of the country including Delhi. Under the leadership of CMD CCL P M Prasad and guidance of Directors, CD & CSR Department of CCL has signed MoUs with local administration amounting to about Rs. 10 Crores. The company has already transferred 6.25 Crores to the local administration and the remaining amount will be transferred shortly.
Stating that there was no shortage of oxygen in the past or present in the state, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat said that to prevent any shortage, oxygen plants are being set up in every district. The chief minister said this while visiting Gopeshwar in Chamoli district during his daylong tour of three districts on Saturday.
