Advanced soil testing lab to come up in Hry

Plans are underway inHaryanato establish an advanced testing laboratory and a vermi-compost demonstration unit. ICAR-Indian Wheat and Barley Research Institute in Karnal will also set up a wheat-based agripreneurship centre to enhance the income of small and medium farmers. Additionally, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, will establish a biopesticide laboratory and a natural farming pesticide production unit at Uchani in Karnal.

These initiatives were approved during the state-level steering committee meeting of the Rashtriya KrishiVikasYojana, chaired by chief secretarySanjeevKaushal. In the meeting, an annual plan worth Rs 1,371.91 crore for the year 2023-24 was also approved. The plans will now be forwarded to the Union ministry of Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture for final approval.
