Chhattisgarh is a leading state in the country in providing individual and community forest rights land deeds.

So far, 21,95,228 hectares of land have been distributed to 4.86 lakh individuals, an official Communication said.

The Minister told the officials to work with coordination for better living of the tribals in the remote areas of the state.

He said that programmes for the development of the tribal community are being run well and this is commendable.

Munda handed over trophies and certificates to Chhattisgarh Tribal Welfare Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam in 11 sub-categories for excellent showing in procurement, processing and Marketing of minor forest produce and for implementation of Van Dhan Yojana.
