is hoping to hit record sales of liquor worth 30,000 crore for the current fiscal year, if the liquor sales registered thus far across the state are any indication
This is the first time, the state may see the highest figure after its formation. The state has already sold liquor worth 25,000 crore in less than ten months against the 22,000-crore sales during the same period last year.
The reason for it being the increase in daily sales of liquor, which touched 83 crore. With this, the state has gained an additional income of 30 crore per month this year.
In Telangana, there are 2,630 wine shops and 1,000 other establishments that supply alcohol including bars, clubs and tourist hotels. These establishments get their liquor from depots.
