Chief ministerAshok Gehlot, during the inauguration of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, once again requested PM Narendra Modi to issue gazette notification soon regarding declaring 50 roads of the state as national highways.
Gehlot said that NHAI is preparing the DPR of Jaipur Ring Road, Jodhpur Elevated Road, Lalsot-Pachpadra Road and Hanumangarh-Sadhuwali Road and construction of these should begin soon. The chief minister said that with the development of the refinery at Pachpadra and with the construction of Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway, traffic pressure will increase from Jodhpur to Pachpadra. Therefore, a 6-lane road should be constructed to connect Jodhpur and Pachpadra refinery with Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway.
Gehlot said that availability of water is very important for drinking and Irrigation in 13 districts of Rajasthan. The with its Resources is carrying forward the work ERCP.
