CM Employment Generation Scheme aims to benefit 2 lakh youths

The SIMPLIFICATION done by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the EMPLOYMENT generation scheme is proving to be a boon for self-employed Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward and Minorities. Now by adopting self-employment, they themselves are becoming helpful in providing employment to the owner and others as well. Under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme, the government has provided a loan of Rs 104.97 crore to 6272 youths across the state for self-employment in the last two financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23. At the same time, a target has been fixed to benefit about two lakh youth from this scheme in the financial year 2023-24.

Most of the beneficiaries under the scheme are from East Singhbhum. 940 youths here got the benefit of the scheme and an amount of Rs 6.26 crores was released among them for self-employment. A total of 657 youths of Dumka got the benefit of the scheme and they were given a loan of Rs 11.66 crore for self-employment. And in Hazaribagh, an amount of Rs 7.31 crore was issued as loan among 567 youths.

Supply of pure tap water is also being ensured in government schools across the state. Under this, out of total 41408 schools, water is reaching 34215 schools through tap, whose Percentage is 82.63 per cent. Whereas out of 38432 Anganwadi centres, water is being supplied to 25980 Anganwadi centres.
