Haryana to spend Rs 2.5 cr on Coronil kits

The Haryana Government is likely to give about Rs 2.5 crore to Patanjali Industries of guru Baba Ramdev on the purchase of Coronil kits, which are to be distributed free of cost among Covid patients in the state.

Meanwhile, the state unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has opposed the distribution of the kits to Covid patients.

Health Minister Anil Vij, however, claimed that Patanjali had agreed to bear 50 per cent cost of the kits (costing Rs 500 each) aimed at boosting immunity. He said the kit was being given in addition to the regular medical treatment to the Covid patients.
