Generation gaphas increased rapidly due to Covid phenomenon inRajasthanand older people are suffering a lot due to this emerging trend in society. This was revealed in a study conducted byAgewell Foundation, an NGO working for the welfare and empowerment of older people during which over 1,500 respondents of 60+ years participated.

According to thesurvey, 78.3% (1,174 elderly respondents) claimed that due to Covid situation, generation gap has increased. This study was conducted during August and 95% elderly admitted that their major concern was looking after the Health condition of self/spouse
During the survey, 86% elderly admitted that they were facing or had to face Covid situation and related issues, while nearly half of the respondents termed sense of loneliness/isolation as the most prominent psychological issue followed by restlessness. Around 26% elderly said disease and poor health were major source of concern for them.
