Officials are anticipating a spike in forest fires due to the extended dry spell.
The Forest Survey of India (FSI), which sends daily satellite feeds to all the states on forest fires, reported 235 large fires from January 1 till March 11 this year. Three large fires were burning inGirgaunder Khunti circle, Kharsawan and Rajmahal, and Sahebganj region.
