The Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which was tabled on the first day of the ongoing winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, was passed today.
It will pave the way for setting up of a private university, Geeta University, in Panipat. As of now, there are 24 private universities in the state, including 10 in Gurugram alone.
