State Health ministerR Lalthanglianasaid theHIV transmissionhas penetrated the Society as a large number of people, not belonging to high-risk groups such as drug addicts and sex workers, have been infected. The Mizoram State AIDS Control Society said 25,080 people have been infected withHIVsince 1990, of which 3,294 have died.
