Only 41,836 (1.9% of the total) apprentices, out of 21.96 lakh in the country, have been enrolled inRajasthanfrom 2016-17 to January 30, 2023, as a part of the apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act, 1961, data from the ministry of Skill development and said.
In all, 10.94 lakh people have been trained in Rajasthan in these years, informed the minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, in a reply to an unstarred question inLok Sabhaon February 6.
As many as 15,191 people in Rajasthan have benefited from the Centres Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (ESDP) between 2018-19 and 2022-23 up to February 1, 2023, as per the data.
