Eligibility Criteria for cds Exam 2024

The Combined DEFENCE Services (CDS) Examination is conducted by the https://exam.pscnotes.com/union-public-service-commission”>Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of officers to the Indian Army, INDIAN NAVY and Indian Air Force. The examination is held twice a year, in the months of February and September.

The eligibility criteria for the CDS Examination are as follows:

The CDS Examination consists of two papers, Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is of two hours duration and consists of 100 questions of General Knowledge and General Intelligence. Paper II is of two and a half hours duration and consists of 150 questions of Mathematics and General Science.

The qualifying marks for the CDS Examination are as follows:

The candidates who qualify in the written examination are called for the SSB interview. The SSB interview is a two-day process and consists of various tests such as the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test, the Picture Perception Test (PPT), the Situational Judgement Test (SJT), the Group Discussion (GD) and the Personal Interview (PI).

The candidates who are recommended by the SSB are called for the medical examination. The medical examination is conducted by a team of doctors and the candidates are required to undergo various tests such as the physical examination, the X-ray, the blood test and the urine test.

The candidates who are declared fit in the medical examination are finally selected for the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
