The Arunachal Pradesh Commission (Appsc) is a State Public Service Commission in India. It is responsible for conducting examinations for recruitment to various posts in the State Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The APPSC conducts two types of examinations: the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination. The Preliminary Examination is a qualifying examination, while the Main Examination is a competitive examination.

The Preliminary Examination is a written examination consisting of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is of 100 marks and Paper II is of 200 marks. The duration of each paper is two hours.

Paper I is a General Studies paper and covers topics such as Indian Polity, Indian economy, HISTORY of India, Geography of India, General Science, Current Affairs, and English Language. Paper II is an Aptitude test paper and covers topics such as Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and General Mental Ability.

The Main Examination is a written examination consisting of five papers: Paper I, Paper II, Paper III, Paper IV, and Paper V. Paper I is of 200 marks, Paper II is of 200 marks, Paper III is of 300 marks, Paper IV is of 300 marks, and Paper V is of 300 marks. The duration of each paper is three hours.

Paper I is a General Studies paper and covers topics such as Indian Polity, Indian Economy, History of India, Geography of India, General Science, Current Affairs, and English Language. Paper II is an Aptitude Test paper and covers topics such as Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and General Mental Ability. Paper III is a General Knowledge paper and covers topics such as Indian Polity, Indian Economy, History of India, Geography of India, General Science, Current Affairs, and English Language. Paper IV is a Law paper and covers topics such as Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Law. Paper V is a Language paper and covers topics such as English, Hindi, and Assamese.

The APPSC also conducts a Personality Test for candidates who qualify in the Main Examination. The Personality Test is a viva voce examination and is conducted by a panel of experts. The marks obtained in the Personality Test are not added to the final merit list, but are used to shortlist candidates for appointment.

The APPSC releases the admit card for the Preliminary Examination at least 15 days before the examination. The admit card contains the candidate’s name, roll number, date, time, and venue of the examination. The admit card must be carried to the examination hall.

The APPSC releases the result of the Preliminary Examination within two months of the examination. The result is available on the APPSC website. The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear for the Main Examination.
