The Authority of India (AAI) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. It is responsible for the management and development of civil aviation Infrastructure in India. The AAI conducts the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Exam every year to recruit Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs). The ATC Exam is a highly competitive exam and only a few candidates are selected for the post of ATC.
The vacancy for the ATC Exam 2024 has not been announced yet. However, the AAI usually conducts the ATC Exam in the month of May or June. The application process for the ATC Exam usually starts in the month of February or March. The eligibility criteria for the ATC Exam are as follows:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 27 years of age as on 1st January 2024.
- The candidate must have a good physical and mental Health.
- The candidate must have a valid driving license.
The selection process for the ATC Exam consists of two stages:
- Stage I: Written Examination
- Stage II: Interview
The written examination is a computer-based test and consists of two papers:
- Paper I: General Intelligence and Reasoning
- Paper II: Mathematics and General Awareness
The interview is a personal interview conducted by a panel of experts. The interview will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination and his/her suitability for the post of ATC.
The pay scale for the post of ATC is as follows:
- Pay Band: PB-3
- Grade Pay: Rs. 46,000/-
- Initial Pay: Rs. 1,44,200/-
